TESTIMONIALS AND REVIEWS

Suzy was the blessing our family needed.  She showed us how to be the great parents we wanted to be. Without Suzy, My wife and I were destined to be like so many other families, devastated, dis-empowered and divorced. With out Suzy's input, our son's awesome nature was destined to be overlooked and his potential limited. Today our son is no longer on the Autism Spectrum and we are thrilled to have him grace the cover of Suzy's book as the face of awesomism. Every parent and educator needs to know Suzy's phenomenal new approach to this complex issue."

“Two of my children were labeled with autism eight years ago.  No one else has been able to get me closer to seeing their gifts and beauty faster and more effectively than Suzy.”

Hi Suzy,

I believe you played such an integral part in the "emergence" of our precious W, that I wanted to share what amazing growth and maturity he has been attaining.

First, the thing that has been so wonderful is the very presence of W.  He is just a delightful person. Connecting and interacting with him, has been a blessing beyond words.

Secondly, his speech is coming clearer and clearer every day.  He has so much to say!!!!!!  He asks questions appropriately, answers questions appropriately, points things out to us, tells us things we had no idea he even knew. It is fabulous!

Though behaviors can still be a challenge at times,  I have found that "we" are more of a problem than he!!!!  Our remaining calm and assertive is far more powerful and productive for him… as well as ourselves.

He really IS very, very intelligent and highly perceptive.  He has been transitioned into the "regular" classroom, because he met all of his goals.  That happened last week.

Following directions has improved immensely.  Knowing colors, counting, participating are just a few of the things this little wonder has entered into mastering.

I was sitting at the computer and W came in, so I asked if he wanted to look at pictures.  When we came to the one of you, his eyes LIT UP and he said...SUZY!!!

Stay in touch and know we ALL love you Suzy and appreciate all your talent, skill, insight and the love that you shared with us and our "Awesome" W.

With lotsa LOVE,

Pam

BOOK REVIEWS

"I have worked in the field of Autism for 20 years now, and have some awareness of how gifted and amazing these children are. However, Suzy Miller explains the "why's" behind the behaviors such as stimming, flapping, scripting, etc. Since getting that awareness I've been able to see these amazing children differently. When I perceive them differently they behave differently. I have seen major shifts in my clients since reading "Awesomism". This information is life changing. It goes beyond autism. Thanks, Suzy!"

"This book should be required reading for any and all people who work with, live with or educate autistic children. It is brilliantly insightful, informative and persuasive. Suzy has actually worked with many, many, autistic children.  Her findings and experiences will amaze you an d leave you with a whole new perspective on these incredible gifts to this world."

- Zahra Lightway, Lightway School

"As a speech therapist working mainly with preschoolers since 1973, I have watched the incidence of autism grow. I am delighted to find a book that states so clearly what I have been sensing about these children - that they are part of our evolution. Suzy Miller's deep contact with and understanding of the condition of autism clarifies all of the unresolved questions I have been carrying. She writes with a clear understanding of the experiences of the parents of autistic children and empowers them with a new awareness to see and respond to the gifts of their children. I am looking forward to recommending this book to parents, speech therapists, pediatricians, etc."
